Stem Recruitment have a new opportunity for an Operations Manager to work for a manufacturing company based in Edinburgh.
This person will be responsible for the day-to-day management of manufacturing operations, ensuring that production targets, quality standards, delivery commitments, and safety requirements are consistently met.
- Some responsibilities include
- Lead, develop and manage production teams, including supervisors, technicians, operators and apprentices, ensuring appropriate capability, skills development and succession planning.
- Oversee day-to-day manufacturing operations, ensuring adherence to production schedules and quality standards.
- Manage production capacity, labour planning and resource allocation to meet current and forecast customer requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in engineering, Manufacturing, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience manufacturing, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role.
- Experience with ISO 9001, AS9100, or other quality systems.
- Certification in Lean Six Sigma or related methodologies.
- Experience of working in a fast-paced, high-precision manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems, production planning and lean manufacturing tools
- Proven track record in driving operational excellence and process improvement.
