STEM Recruitment Solutions are delighted to partner with our client as they seek a Field Service Engineer to join them in London on a permanent basis. Our client operates in scientific environments and is looking to add a Field Service Engineer (FSE) to their team to visit customer sites carrying out installs, repairs, inspections and more across Healthcare, Life Science and Electronics. The role is based across North/West London on a remote basis.
Responsibilities:
- The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of laboratory instruments.
- You will mostly work with water purification systems in regulated settings.
- You will also provide customer support and training, contributing to the overall reliability and efficiency of scientific equipment used across various lab environments.
- The role involves travel around London and requires a proactive approach to troubleshooting and calibration to maintain high-quality service delivery.
- This is a dynamic role with travel around the London area with some overnight stays required (around 20% of your time).
Requirements:
- Minimum HNC or equivalent in Engineering or Scientific discipline.
- At least 2 years experience working with laboratory instrumentation or on similarly regulated equipment (e.g. electronics, aviation, medical devices).
- Strong technical and troubleshooting skills.
- Flexibility to travel and adapt to different lab environments.
- Experience in field service is desirable but not essential; comprehensive training will be provided.
- Ability to generate leads for new hardware, accessories, service contracts.
