Centre Coordinator (Part-Time | 20 Hours per Week) in Buckhurst Hill, Essex

You'll be the reassuring face of our Buckhurst Hill centre, the first person parents turn to, and the one who ensures every session feels welcoming, professional and memorable. This is not a teaching or technical STEM role. It's an opportunity to become the heartbeat of a growing children's centre where you'll genuinely make a difference to families every week.

This is a part-time role requiring a commitment of approximately 20 hours per week, including:

• Saturdays: 9:00 am to 3:00 pm (6 hours)
• Sundays: 9:00 am to 3:00 pm (6 hours)
• Wednesday & Thursday evenings: A total of approximately 8 hours across both evenings

What You'll Do

• Be the first point of contact for parents, answering enquiries and ensuring every family feels valued and supported.
• Coordinate the smooth running of classes, bookings, attendance and day-to-day centre operations.
• Prepare classrooms and resources so instructors can focus on delivering fantastic sessions.
• Welcome children and families, creating a warm, safe and professional environment from the moment they arrive.
• Capture photos and short videos during sessions for use on our social media channels, while following safeguarding and consent guidelines.
• Maintain high standards of presentation, organisation, safeguarding and health & safety across the centre.
• Help organise trial sessions, holiday camps and centre events, ensuring every visitor has a memorable experience.

Experience That Would Be Great

• You don't need a STEM background. We'd love to hear from you if you've worked in areas such as:
• Children's activities, schools, nurseries or childcare.
• Hospitality, front-of-house or customer service.
• Reception, office administration or centre coordination.
• Community, leisure or family-focused organisations.
• Event coordination or client-facing roles.
• Premium retail or service environments where professionalism mattered.
• Any role where organisation, communication and responsibility were central to your success.
