My client is an established global Managed Service Provider (MSP) delivering data backup and disaster recovery solutions to secure and protect critical data for customers in over 70 countries. Their mission is to provide resilient, scalable, and compliant data protection as a service for the modern enterprise.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and technically proficient Pre-Sales / Sales Engineer to join a global team. In this role, you will act as a trusted advisor to customers and prospects, working alongside the sales team to understand customer needs, architect tailored solutions, and demonstrate the value of their managed services. You will be instrumental in driving customer engagement, enabling sales opportunities, and ensuring successful technical positioning of our services across backup, disaster recovery, and cyber resilience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with account executives to understand customer requirements and deliver technical pre-sales support.
  • Architect end-to-end solutions across data backup, disaster recovery, and cyber recovery use cases.
  • Lead technical presentations, whiteboard sessions, product demonstrations, and proof of concepts.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into business-relevant value propositions for both technical and executive stakeholders.
  • Assist in the creation of proposals, SOWs, RFP responses, and technical documentation.
  • Act as a liaison between customers, the sales team, and product/engineering teams to provide feedback and drive continuous improvement.
  • Support onboarding and implementation planning to ensure seamless post-sale transitions.

Qualifications:

  • 3–7 years of experience in a pre-sales, solutions engineering, or technical consulting role, preferably in data protection or cybersecurity.
  • Strong knowledge of data backup, disaster recovery, and cyber recovery architectures and practices.
  • Familiarity with all data center environments.
  • Self-starter with a customer-centric mindset and strong problem-solving skills.
