Key Responsibilities
- Cloud Infrastructure Management: Design, deploy, and manage Azure-based infrastructure solutions (including Azure Virtual Desktop), ensuring optimal performance, security, and cost-efficiency.
- Automation & Scripting: Develop automation scripts using PowerShell, Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep to streamline infrastructure provisioning and configuration.
- Networking & Security: Implement and maintain Azure Virtual Networks (VNet), ExpressRoute, NSGs, VPNs, firewalls, and identity access controls to secure cloud environments.
- Monitoring & Performance Tuning: Set up monitoring and alerting solutions using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights to track system health and performance.
- Disaster Recovery & High Availability: Design and implement backup, failover, and disaster recovery strategies leveraging Azure Site Recovery (ASR) and Backup services.
- Governance & Compliance: Ensure adherence to cloud governance, cost optimization, and compliance policies within the Azure environment.
- Troubleshooting & Support: Provide Level 2/3 support for cloud infrastructure, resolving incidents and performing root cause analysis.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, with at least 3 years focused on Azure.
- Strong expertise in Azure services, including Virtual Machines, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Functions, Azure SQL, App Services, and Storage Accounts.
- Scripting experience with PowerShell, Python, or Bash for automation and system administration.
- Solid networking knowledge, including VPNs, VNet peering, Load Balancers, DNS, and Azure Firewall.
- Experience with identity & security management, including Azure Active Directory (AAD), RBAC, Conditional Access, and Microsoft Defender for Cloud.
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
- Understanding of cloud cost management and FinOps best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-104, AZ-305, AZ-400) are highly desirable.
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes (AKS).
- Exposure to hybrid cloud environments and on-premises-to-Azure migration strategies.
- Familiarity with Zero Trust security models and modern cloud security frameworks.
