Stellex Manufacturing Ltd based in Batley are looking for a Metal Polisher. We offer an extensive range of products for use in the catering industry, from the simplest of tables for food preparation through to bespoke servery counters. Throughout the Company’s trading history, we have earned a reputation within the catering fabrication and distributor markets for providing high quality solutions and services to all its end users, and are now expanding into the Pharmaceutical and veterinary markets.
Main duties will include:
- Must be proficient and efficient in using hand tools to complete all metal finishing on a variety and size of products.
- Must be proficient in all aspects of metal polishing including buffing, graining of Stainless Steel and Aluminium. All items must be finished to a high standard.
- Carry out necessary checks and quality assurance of products prior to final inspection and despatch.
- Assist with any shop floor activity required involved during the assembly of products, including cutting of materials, removing laser film, cleaning machinery.
- Maintain and ensure equipment is safe, clean and in good working order, reporting any defaults that may arise.
- Ensure work areas are kept clean and tidy, adhering to Health and Safety procedures and policies at all times.
- Any other duties as required within the skill set of this role.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Must possess the knowledge and experience of using a variety of metal finishing techniques including using hand tools.
- Be fully competent in all aspects of metal polishing including buffing and finishing.
- Have the ability to work within a team or on your own initiative.
- Must possess previous shop floor experience.
- Be able to solve problems when required.
- Ability to multi-task and be flexible.
- Possess a can do attitude.
- Pay attention to detail and quality.
