About the position of Risk Analyst:
Are you a driven Risk professional who can turn data into decisive action? We are recruiting for an exciting Risk Analyst opportunity within a fast-growing specialist finance group, where you will play a key role in strengthening and evolving the risk framework across the business. You will take ownership of risk registers and the RCSA cycle, analyse risk events, KRIs, compliance breaches and operational losses, and produce clear, board-level reporting that supports senior decision-making. This role is ideal for someone with 3 years of risk management experience in financial services, a strong understanding of ISO 31000 principles, and a proven ability to develop and enhance risk frameworks, policies, and controls. Responsibilities for the role of Risk Analyst:
- Maintain and enhance the Risk Register and RCSA cycle, ensuring timely reviews and updates.
- Monitor, analyse and report risk exposures across the business, highlighting emerging risks.
- Analyse risk events, breaches, compliance issues and operational losses, identifying trends and root causes.
- Track and report Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and control effectiveness.
- Quantify and report the financial impact of risk events.
- Produce clear, concise risk reporting for senior stakeholders/governance committees.
- Support assurance reviews and targeted deep-dive investigations, providing practical recommendations.
- Review and update risk policies, procedures and documentation.
- Deliver guidance and training to stakeholders to ensure consistent risk framework application.
- Stay informed on regulatory and industry developments impacting the risk profile.
Experience and skills required for the role of Risk Analyst:
- 3 years in financial services risk management
- Strong knowledge of ISO 31000 and risk frameworks
- Experience with risk registers, RCSA cycles, and KRIs
- Skilled in analysing risk events and producing senior-level reports
