Location: Glasgow - Hybrid
Salary: £28,000 to £31,000 depending on experience
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 5pm or 8am to 4pm

About our client and the role:
We are partnering with a fast-paced and rapidly growing facilities management business based in Glasgow. As they continue to secure new contracts and scale operations, they are looking to add a proactive and adaptable Finance & Accounts Officer to their team. This is a varied, hands-on position that sits at the heart of finance and operational support. You will be responsible for everything from invoice processing and payroll support to vehicle admin and general office coordination. The ideal candidate will thrive in a busy, ever-changing environment and be ready to roll up their sleeves to support wherever needed.
Responsibilities:
- Process and reconcile daily purchase ledger invoices, ensuring accurate supplier payments
- Manage HMRC correspondence, ensuring internal records match external payments
- Support payroll administration for a team of around 60, including timesheet collection and mileage tracking
- Handle credit control tasks, including chasing outstanding payments and resolving queries
- Process company card payments and assist with private healthcare administration
- Manage quarterly direct debit payments and ensure schedules are maintained
- Oversee fleet administration for a pool of approx. 40 vans (e.g., service tracking, mileage logs, replacements)
- Act as a key point of contact for engineers reporting vehicle-related issues
- Answer incoming calls and emails, directing or resolving queries efficiently
- Provide general administration support to the finance and operations teams
- Adapt to changing business needs, handling a range of responsibilities with flexibility and accuracy
Experience required:
- Previous experience in a finance, accounts, or administrative role (sector background is flexible)
- Confident with purchase ledger and general bookkeeping
- Exposure to payroll processes or timesheet management is beneficial but not essential
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with finance/accounting systems
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable handling multiple priorities and shifting tasks in a busy environment
- Clear and confident communicator, both internally and externally
- A team player with a positive, can-do attitude
- Experience in fleet or vehicle administration is an advantage, but not required
- Able to work independently and manage your own workload
