Job Title: Valuation Surveyor

Location: Hertfordshire

Salary: Negotiable depending on experience

Hours: Monday to Friday 9 am to 5 pm

About the position of Valuations Surveyor:

Our client, a rapidly growing and well-established specialist lender, is seeking a motivated Valuation Surveyor. This role is perfect for someone with property valuation experience eager to work within a specialist lending environment and expand their exposure to various lending sectors, including Bridging, Commercial, Development, BTL, Residential Lending, and Asset Management. Please note there will be a requirement to travel to make sites visits

Responsibilities for the role of Valuations Surveyor:

  • Conduct detailed case reviews and develop tailored strategies to achieve the best outcomes for assets in possession.
  • Provide case insights and updates during meetings with senior management.
  • Manage your caseload, ensuring cases are up to date and maintaining accurate records from possession through to sale or loan redemption.
  • Formulate and implement sales strategies to achieve optimal sale price and timeframe, while tightly controlling costs.
  • Liaise with and monitor Receivers appointed on properties in receivership to ensure the best results are delivered.
  • Oversee required works on properties before marketing, ensuring completion within agreed timescales and budget.
  • Deliver regular updates and insights to the Property Services Team and Senior Management during case clinics.
  • Travel to various locations across the UK as required to manage properties in possession.

Experience and skills required Valuations Surveyor:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Logical problem-solving ability with a proactive mindset.
  • Skilled in working collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Ability to analyse and present complex information clearly and effectively.
  • Strong analytical and organisational skills.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with a results-driven attitude.
  • Knowledge of property sales, asset management, or related fields.
  • Familiarity with Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) rules and regulations.
  • Relevant property degree or equivalent experience.
  • Previous experience as a Valuations Surveyor
  • Clean driving licence
