You must have strong manual underwriting experience and have held an underwriting mandate/delegated authority. Responsibilities for the role of Residential Mortgage Underwriter: Underwrite applications in line with company policy, underwriting criteria and risk appetite Assess borrower circumstances, affordability, supporting documentation and overall credit risk to make sound lending decisions Build and maintain strong relationships with mortgage brokers, solicitors and third-party suppliers Ensure all underwriting decisions comply with FCA regulation, company policy, responsible lending and risk requirements Experience and skills required for the role of Residential Mortgage Underwriter: Proven manual underwriting experience within a mortgage lender, with experience holding an underwriting mandate/delegated authority Experience underwriting second charge and/or residential mortgage applications, with strong credit assessment and lending judgement Good understanding of FCA regulation, responsible lending and risk requirements, with strong attention to detail and the ability to make sound lending decision For more information regarding the role of Residential Mortgage Underwriter, please contact us
