Job Title: Mortgage & Protection Advisor
Location: Hybrid 3 days in Stockton on Tees
Salary: Uncapped OTE £50-70,000 realistic
Hours: Monday-Friday 9 am-5:30 pm

They provide a comprehensive support structure, including full admin and compliance services, allowing advisers to focus on client relationships and revenue generation.
This self-employed role is designed to reward proactive and motivated advisers. While you will primarily develop your clients, the company may also share new client opportunities to support your growth. Additionally, the firm plans to acquire client portfolios from retiring advisers, offering potential opportunities to expand your book over time.
This role is ideal for an adviser currently working independently who wants support with admin, compliance, and operational tasks. You will benefit from a structured, collaborative environment and the resources needed to maximise your client focus and professional growth.
Responsibilities for the role of Mortgage and Protection Advisor:
- Deliver expert mortgage and protection advice tailored to each client\’s needs, reflecting our values of Trustworthiness, Honesty, and Reliability
- Conduct thorough consultations to understand clients\’ financial situations, goals, and priorities
- Recommend appropriate products and solutions that best meet client objectives
- Keep abreast of mortgage market trends, interest rates, lending policies, and regulatory requirements
- Educate clients on mortgage processes, terminology, and potential risks to enable informed decision-making
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, fostering trust, loyalty, and repeat business in line with our values of Authenticity and Relentless Work Ethic
- Assess clients\’ financial status, including income, expenses, assets, and liabilities, to determine borrowing capacity and product suitability
- Communicate complex financial concepts clearly and professionally
- Continuously grow and develop a client portfolio, maximising opportunities and ensuring profitable relationships
- Maintain commercial awareness of financial products, regulations, and market practices
Experience required for the role of Mortgage and Protection Advisor:
- Proven track record as a self-employed Mortgage & Protection Adviser
- CeMAP (or equivalent) industry-recognised qualification
- Ability to pass the FCA fit and proper assessment with no panel exclusions
- Proactive, self-motivated, and client-focused
- Committed to providing an excellent customer experience
- Competent in mortgage-specific software
- Full UK driving licence
