About our Client and the role of Development Finance Broker:
Our client, a specialist brokerage, is seeking a motivated Development Finance Broker to join their team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with property developers and investors, providing tailored financial solutions. The successful candidate will be instrumental in originating new business and managing client relationships to drive the company's growth.
Responsibilities for the role of Development Finance Broker:
- Originate new clients and generate business enquiries from property developers and investors.
- Agree broker terms to maximize income potential.
- Build and maintain client relationships to encourage potential leads.
- Assess deals for funding feasibility and match them to potential lender products.
- Negotiate and structure development finance deals.
- Collaborate with clients, lenders, and project stakeholders.
- Understand funding requirements, including residential/commercial senior debt and bridging finance.
- Onboard clients, including creation and sign-off of Broker Introducer agreements and completion of ID/AML checks as necessary.
- Create and present tailored funding proposals to lenders.
- Establish and develop client-lender relationships.
- Occasionally travel to meet with clients and conduct site visits as necessary.
- Manage the application process from start to completion.
- Maintain the company CRM system, including inputting calls, emails, account/contact information, and opportunities, along with updates on their status.
- Participate in weekly management meetings and occasional on-site meetings, reporting to company directors.
Experience required for the role of Development Finance Broker:
- Proven business development experience in the banking, bridging, development, or investment finance market.
- In-depth understanding of property development finance and bridging.
- Strong networking and relationship-building skills.
- Self-motivated, proactive, tenacious, and enthusiastic.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a professional telephone manner.
- Good IT skills, comfortable with setting up electronic documents.
- Own transport for occasional on-site meetings.
