Salary: Up to £60,000 depending on experience

About our Client and the role of Bridging Underwriter:
Working for an established and growing bridging, commercial mortgage and development finance lender, with a great culture, we are excited to be working on two new opportunities for Bridging Underwriters to join the team. The ideal candidate will have at least 12 months experience in underwriting bridging loans.
Responsibilities for the role of Bridging Underwriter:
- End-to-end underwriting of new applications in accordance with internal lending policies
- Liaising proactively with brokers, solicitors, and valuers to maintain high service standards
- Ongoing risk assessment and management throughout each case's lifecycle
- Coordinating and requesting funds for cases approaching completion
- Providing regular updates to internal teams on pipeline activity and case status
- Continuously reviewing and improving processes and policies while upholding quality standards
- Meeting individual and team KPIs consistently
- Managing workload effectively by prioritising tasks and adhering to deadlines
Experience required for the role of Bridging Underwriter:
- At least 12 months experience in underwriting bridging loans/specialist finance.
- CeMAP is desired
- Ability to build good working relationships
- Great communication skills
- Understanding of mortgage regulatory requirements
- Thrive in an expanding and changing environment
