The role involves building a Software Asset Management and FinOps practice across EMEA, with the UK and Netherlands as the first markets. This is a build role rather than a caretaking one. You will define what we sell, help the sales teams sell it, and put the delivery model behind it so that engagements repeat instead of being reinvented each time.
What you will own:
- Practice development: Build the FinOps, SAM and Tokenomics offerings, from value proposition through to packaged, repeatable services. Define the consulting and managed service motions, and the business case behind each.
- Sales enablement: Coach sales teams and support strategic opportunities directly, including executive client meetings. Produce customer-facing collateral and account targeting strategies.
- Partner management: Build relationships with Microsoft, AWS and other cloud and software vendors. Align partner incentives, identify co-sell opportunities and draw on vendor-funded programmes.
- Delivery enablement: Set delivery standards, governance frameworks and success metrics. Hand engagements cleanly into operations.
First 90 days:
- An EMEA FinOps growth strategy and a defined SAM and FinOps service catalogue.
- Go-to-market plans for the UK and Netherlands, with qualified pipeline behind them.
- An assessment of current delivery capability and a scalable model to close the gaps.
- A demand generation approach, qualification framework and fulfilment process.
What we need from you:
- Essential: 10+ years in Software Asset Management, FinOps or cloud economics. A track record of building a services business, not only running one. Microsoft licensing and AWS or Azure consumption management at depth. Cloud cost optimisation and licensing optimisation. FinOps Foundation practices. Commercial credibility with enterprise customers and experience of EMEA markets.
- Desirable: Tokenomics, ITAM tooling, Managed services background.
How you work:
- Commercially minded, and comfortable when the structure does not exist yet.
- Executive presence, with the ability to influence where you have no direct authority.
How success is measured: Pipeline created, revenue influenced, qualified opportunities generated, offerings launched, sales teams enabled and customer references secured.
