About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Applications Lead to join a prestigious organisation in Edinburgh. In this role, you will be responsible for analysing and understanding the system needs of the company by collaborating with various stakeholders. You will play a key role in delivering and maintaining seamless user journeys for external and internal stakeholders. Additionally, you will map out the future application architecture and roadmap, oversee the delivery of new solutions, and ensure the legacy estate is effectively maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee application architecture and ensure seamless integration and interoperability of all applications.
- Lead the configuration, testing, implementation, and documentation of software applications.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to establish technical requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Manage project timelines and budgets to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of application solutions.
- Mentor team members and provide guidance and support to enhance their skills.
- Ensure application performance and reliability by conducting integrated testing and analysing current business systems.
- Maintain application documentation, configuration documentation, and procedures.
- Offer user support throughout project implementation.
- Participate in and potentially lead system risk remediation efforts.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field.
- Experience overseeing the delivery and maintenance of applications.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
This role will be mostly onsite in the company's Edinburgh office. There will be some opportunities to work at home but this role will suit someone who's keen to work in the office most of the time.
