Role Purpose
The Local Business Development Executive is responsible for developing commercial sales leads by building relationships with local businesses within the store’s surrounding area, and via referrals from other Samsung sales teams. This role will identify, develop and convert opportunities by leveraging the store’s experiential environment, live product demonstrations, event capabilities and tailored business solutions. Acting as the bridge between Samsung KX and the wider SEUK Business to Business (B2B) organisation, the role will create a sales pipeline, convert opportunities, and seamlessly hand off larger or more complex opportunities to relevant SEUK business divisions. The objective is to transform the store from a pure consumer retail destination into a local business engagement hub that drives measurable commercial growth. This role will require working in locations around London and Samsung Head Quarters located in Chertsey.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Development & Revenue Generation: Build and execute a proactive B2B acquisition strategy targeting businesses within the store’s immediate catchment area. Identify and engage small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs), startups, agencies, hospitality businesses, education providers, co‑working spaces, healthcare providers and enterprise satellite offices. Position the store as a destination for local business engagement, product discovery and commercial relationship building. Host business‑focused product discovery appointments and private consultations.
- Events & Community Engagement: Partner with internal and external stakeholders to deliver workshops, networking events, product launches and executive briefings.
- Cross‑Functional B2B Collaboration: Act as the in‑store connector into the wider SEUK B2B commercial organisation. Build strong working relationships with SEUK B2B sales teams, category leaders and commercial stakeholders.
- Customer Experience & Solution Selling: Understand business customer needs and translate them into relevant product and solution recommendations. Use consultative selling techniques to uncover opportunities across hardware, services and ecosystem solutions.
- Performance Measurement: Revenue delivered, Pipeline generated, Opportunity conversion, Event ROI. Use CRM and reporting tools to manage prospecting, pipeline and opportunity progression.

- Proven B2B business development, partnerships or commercial sales experience
- Strong prospecting and pipeline generation capability

- Excellent presentation and storytelling capability
- Comfortable hosting events and representing the brand externally
- Strong stakeholder management across matrix organisations
- Experience using CRM tools and pipeline management processes
- Ability to work autonomously with entrepreneurial mindset

- Experience within technology, consumer electronics, retail, hospitality or experiential environments

What We Offer

- Occasional weekend work may be required depending on business needs
- Working shift: 9am to 5:30pm
- Regular travel between London stores (KX, Harrods & Selfridges) & Samsung HQ in Chertsey, Surrey. Travel to Chertsey will be covered.
