Leasys UK Ltd is a joint venture between Stellantis and Crédit Agricole and is part of one of the largest vehicle leasing companies in Europe. We are creating a new role of Head of Legal, reporting to the Managing Director and will also have a functional reporting line to the HQ Chief of Legal & Corporate Affairs. As a key member of the UK executive management team, you will be responsible for all legal matters in the UK, while also collaborating with the wider Leasys group throughout Europe.
You will provide support and advice in the context of specific local and international transactions as well as day-to-day analysis of a variety of legal issues, within the long-term vehicle leasing sector, contributing to ensure that Leasys UK acts in compliance with applicable laws, FCA regulations and group policies/guidelines. You will be advising on a broad range of corporate, commercial, compliance and litigation matters but the main support will be in drafting, negotiating and finalising various types of opinions and B2B contracts including:
- Commercial agreements with commercial customers
- Agreements supporting finance department (e.g. loans)
- ICT agreements regarding cloud/professional services, software licenses, digital & e-commerce, data management
- Agreements with insurance companies
- Supplier agreements
- Agreements in the context of new business development
You will also provide advice on UK corporate governance, light company secretary duties and compliance, since a significant number of our customers are consumers and our activities are regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).
The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with the commercial and compliance teams, enabling practical and commercial solutions, often within tight deadlines.
Ideal Candidate would have:
- Technical skills: University full degree in law/qualified barrister/solicitor; an English legal qualification is considered beneficial.
- Advanced English level (at least C1, written and spoken)
- Advanced contract drafting skills
- At least 5 years of previous experience in an international environment as in-house legal or in top-ranked law firms

- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both commercial colleagues and the wider Leasys group
