As a General Manager you will oversee the daily operations of the dealership including management of department managers, including sales, warehouse and logistics.
In this role you will also:
- Develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed targets by analysing market trends, overseeing advertising and promotional campaigns and maintaining relationships with key customers to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Manage the dealership’s budget and ensure profitability by maximizing revenue and controlling expenses.
- Ensure the dealership provides excellent customer service and resolve customer complaints and issues promptly and effectively.
- Maintain a safe and secure environment for employees and customers.
- Observe and promote Health & Safety legislation.
- Identify new business opportunities and market trends and implement innovative solutions to improve dealership operations.
- Promote the dealership's brand and reputation in the community.
A Day in the Life
As a General Manager, you will be directly responsible for the site, its employees and the site’s results. You have to potentially juggle sales, aftersales and parts. Managing what is most likely a large team is possibly the most challenging aspect, as you need to adapt to everyone on site. But people work for people predominantly, and if you show you are committed to making the site work well, they will generally respond well. The buck stops with you as a General Manager, so dealing with customers is not uncommon and making sure all customers are fully satisfied is key. Being able to delegate is essential, as you will not be able to do everything in this role, despite wanting to do so. Focus on key areas, and nail each one of them one by one.
Let’s Work together
As an experienced General Manager in an automotive dealership, you already understand the qualities that lead to success. If you value the power of people and teamwork, prioritise the customer experience, are passionate about driving sustainable mobility, and aspire to be part of a global organization with ambitious goals and a forward-looking vision, we want to hear from you.
Stellantis is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. We are committed to equal employment opportunity and equal pay regardless of race, colour, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, disability, or gender identity. Stellantis are also accredited with the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) Gold Award, that recognises organisations that pledge, demonstrate or advocate support to the armed forces community.
