Manufacturer owned dealership opportunity. Are you an experienced financial professional with a background in the automotive industry, or are you looking to transition into this exciting field? We’re searching for the right candidate to join our team and we’re ready to provide training to support your success. While dealership experience is preferred, it’s not a requirement. What matters most is your detailed understanding and application of Motor Trade-specific DMS Platforms and Microsoft Office Tools. Role Description

  • Extend financial management support to staff at all levels, ensuring Company income and expenditure is processed accurately and within set deadlines.
  • Provide support and guidance for all financial and accounts-related matters to the Regional Operations Directors and to the dealership management teams within the Region.
  • Professionally challenge General Managers on their accounts and results and work with them on implementing innovative solutions and new ways of working.
  • Ensure the necessary controls are in place to ensure the commercial actions of the rest of the management team within the dealership are in line with Company policies and procedures.

A Dealership Accountant might sound like a typical boring desk job. But it's nothing like that! Most of the time, you are challenging managers with improving results, questioning costs and running around making sure payroll is correct. It’s a fun job where you get to meet all different types of people, striving to get the dealership to do its best, whilst making sure company rules and regulations are met. Being organised is definitely a good skill to have, as well as inquisitiveness; there is always something going on. As a dealership accountant, you are involved in the day-to-day running of the dealership, but also the background, making sure the sales ledger, purchase ledger and balance sheet are well kept, ready for month end. The best part of the job is helping people to achieve results and working together with different departments to achieve success.
