Are you analytical, detail‑focused, and ready to play a key role in maintaining financial accuracy across a fast‑paced organisation? We’re looking for an Operational Accountant to join our Finance team in Cardiff or Redhill. In this role, you’ll support accurate financial reporting by completing daily, weekly and monthly accounting activities, working closely with operational teams across all Stellantis Financial Services UK countries.
What you’ll be doing:
- Preparing, reviewing, and posting daily, weekly and monthly accounting journals.
- Supporting month‑end activities across all Stellantis Financial Services UK entities, ensuring SLAs are met.
- Working with operational teams and stakeholders on commercial projects, including designing and implementing new accounting processes.
- Helping maintain existing accounting processes such as sub‑ledger systems and accounting documentation.
- Completing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations.
- Leading investigations into open items and discrepancies.
- Preparing accurate accounting information and reports for finance and operational stakeholders.
- Assisting with wider projects, initiatives and cross‑team support as required.
Who we’re looking for:
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem‑solving, has strong numerical skills, and thrives in a collaborative environment. You’ll need:
- Experience using accounting systems such as SAP, Oracle or Sage.
- Experience creating accounting journals and completing or reviewing balance sheet reconciliations.
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail.
- The ability to prioritise workload and manage stakeholder expectations.
- The ability to work as part of a team and adapt to change.
- Some technical accounting training (e.g., degree, AAT, or equivalent).
- Part‑qualified status (ACCA, ACA, CIMA) preferred but not essential.
Contribute directly to the accuracy and performance of the business through essential accounting activity. Work closely with a wide range of teams across all Stellantis Financial Services UK markets.
