Shore-Based Opportunity | Leading Cruise Operator
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Ship Manager to join a world-class cruise company. This shore-based role is ideal for a maritime professional with technical expertise and operational leadership skills, overseeing the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of a fleet of modern cruise vessels.
Key Responsibilities:
✔ Oversee the daily operations of assigned cruise ships, ensuring compliance with international safety and environmental regulations.
✔ Manage dry-dock planning, maintenance programs, and technical approvals in coordination with classification societies and governing bodies.
✔ Monitor vessel performance, budget planning, and cost control for ship operations and repairs.
✔ Work closely with shipboard teams to support crew training, development, and succession planning.
✔ Collaborate with technical, hotel, and facilities management teams to oversee shipboard projects and ensure seamless operations.
Candidate Profile:
🔹 Degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related field (preferred).
🔹 Chief Engineer’s Diploma with at least 3 years of experience on large passenger vessels.
🔹 Strong knowledge of cruise ship operating systems, classification requirements, and maritime regulations (ISM, SOLAS, MARPOL, STCW).
🔹 Experience with POD/Azipod propulsion systems is highly desirable.
🔹 Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and financial management skills.
