We are seeking a self-motivated, creative and detail-oriented professional to help drive social media activities in support of Stella McCartney’s overall communication goals. The ideal candidate will be eager to engage in new projects, have a deep passion for all things social and digital, and a love for fashion and luxury. Reporting into the Head of Content Strategy, they will be a creative social storyteller who excels at building stand-out visual content on their own using native editing tools and content creation platforms.
They will independently manage organic social media channels, plan content calendars as well as look after the everyday community management, scheduling/posting, reporting and competitor analysis.
Your Mission:
- Gatekeeper of all content briefing process for social media channels.
- Main content creator – shooting and editing content all the way through to delivery (working with line manager and creative services teams as needed).
- Review and analyse content data in order to inform strategy, pivoting when needed in order to create engagement.
- In charge of content creation for TikTok and visual content for various social media platforms including but not limited to Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube and Pinterest.
- Focusing on Instagram Reel and TikTok video content shot in the field and in-office using existing materials or producing new ones from shoots, behind the scenes, etc.
- Plan, execute and produce editorial content working with Editorial team to amplify storytelling across various social channels.
- Own social copywriting, working closely with the Head of Content Strategy to safeguard social-first brand tone and messaging.
- Attend relevant events for the brand when needed such as shoots, PR & Influencer events, Fashion Shows to brief, capture, edit and produce social media content.
- Support with the development of social media content strategies and key programming throughout the year.
- Work with the Social and Copy Assistant and the Head of Content Strategy in creation of social grid, content planning, creative guidelines and content pillars within social ecosystem.
- Own management of test account and social media grid documents to plan upcoming campaigns and social communications plan.
- Work with Global Head of Social Media on special projects with high profile influencers and bloggers, strengthen the relationship and generate social first content to help increase engagement.
- Management of all social media channels and being the brand’s voice – including daily posts, community management and reporting, across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Snapchat and YouTube.
- Work collaboratively with local teams in China and Japan aligning global content plan and distributing necessary assets, copy and links for Weibo, WeChat, RED and LINE channels.
- Plan and coordinate execution of new initiatives to help grow the social fan base across all our social platforms.
- Manage social content briefs submit to Creative Services and implement a strategic approach to content mix for both Global and Eastern social media platforms (product, press, UGC, local festivities, etc).
- Develop clear and measurable KPIs, implement performance metrics and goals with ongoing optimisations.
- Regular performance reviews: Content, audience, social listening tools, competitors.
- Share deep social platform expertise, learnings, trends, formats, nuances - develop industry first ideas, innovate and scale.
- Update and distribute monthly reports on our social media platforms analysing owned and earned metrics, competitors and content performance using in-house tools available.
- Deliver ad-hoc reports as necessary for special projects, campaigns, fashion shows and other as needed across social channels.
- Be current across all new emerging technologies and social communities.
- Be current across emerging fashion trends and developments.
- Execute best practice across all social media platforms.
- Conducting regular competitor research, keep up to date on competitor strategy.

- Exercise high judgment, particularly in narrow time frames.
- Ability to deal with ambiguity – have a bias for action, but an ability to work cohesively with other stakeholders.
- Passion for making creative content on a spectrum of media platforms – social, streaming, AR, music, film, interactive, etc.
- Strong design and editing skills, across both photo stills and video.
- Well-versed in working with a wide range and quality of video and static imagery – from a collection of photography to short video clips.
- Familiar with working on almost every content creation platform: Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Creative Suite and design templates in Canva or Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, TikTok, Instagram, FB Live, etc.
- Mastery over Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Ability to apply market research and development methods to learn and understand emerging trends and technologies across Social Media – and be able to communicate this to senior stakeholders clearly and concisely.
- Demonstrable social networking experience and social analytics tools knowledge.
- Competitive, driven, self-starter with strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- Mastered the ability to turn any branded content into social gold (clips, gifs, graphics, photos, stories, copy, etc).
- 3+ years’ experience of social media/content creation experience.
- A portfolio demonstrating your content ideas and execution.
- Proactive team player able to work individually and as part of a team.
