Greenwich Waldorf School is a warm, creative, and collaborative learning community committed to nurturing the healthy development of every child. We are seeking a compassionate, reflective, and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant who is inspired by Steiner Waldorf education and values inclusive practice, meaningful relationships, and working closely with children, families and colleagues to support the individual needs and potential of every pupil within a supportive school community.

Greenwich Waldorf School is located alongside the green spaces of Greenwich and Blackheath in South East London. We are an independent school with a dynamic, progressive and contemporary Waldorf curriculum for pupils aged 3-18.

Location: Woodlands, 90 Mycenae Road, London, SE3 7SE

Contract: Full-Time

Hours: Monday to Friday 8am - 4pm

Salary: Depending on experience

Reports to: SENDCo

Job Summary

To support and, where appropriate, lead learning activities in a way that is developmentally appropriate, relationship-led, and aligned with Waldorf pedagogy, ensuring continuity of learning, strong pastoral care, and inclusive provision. The HLTA will deliver teacher-planned learning, support pupils' academic and emotional development, and contribute to a safe, calm, and purposeful school environment. Although the HLTA may deliver lessons to whole classes, this is not a teaching role. The HLTA works within the direction of the class teachers, using their planning and does not hold responsibility for curriculum design or overall class outcomes.
