Creative Artworker in Manchester

Manchester Full-Time No working from home possible
Stein.

The Role:

As an Artworker at Stein, you’ll turn creative concepts and design systems into polished, precise, and production-ready work across a wide range of formats and channels.

This is a hands-on role for someone with excellent design craft, strong technical skills, and meticulous attention to detail. You’ll take approved creative and extend it intelligently across everything a modern B2B agency makes, from campaign assets, digital and social content to presentations, reports, event materials and print.

PowerPoint will be an important part of the role. You’ll not only build and artwork presentations but also design them, taking complex information and turning it into clear, well-structured and visually engaging decks that feel consistent with the idea and brand.

Working closely with designers, art directors, writers, account teams, and production partners, you’ll help ensure every piece of work leaves the agency looking considered, consistent and beautifully crafted.

What You’ll Do

Artwork & Produce

  • Take approved creative concepts, key visuals and design systems and extend them accurately across multiple formats, channels and specifications.
  • Create production-ready artwork for digital, social, display, print, presentations, reports, events, experiential applications, and other brand communications.
  • Adapt layouts thoughtfully across different sizes and formats while maintaining the integrity and impact of the original design.
  • Build master templates and scalable design systems that make campaign rollout efficient and consistent.
  • Handle resizing, versioning, localisation, amends, and high-volume asset production accurately and efficiently.
  • Carry out image retouching, compositing, cropping, colour correction, and other image-production tasks as required.
  • Ensure every execution is technically accurate, visually consistent, and ready for final delivery across digital and print.

Design Presentations

  • Design and build high-quality PowerPoint presentations for client meetings, pitches, strategic presentations, case studies, and other agency needs.
  • Turn content-heavy or complex information into clear, visually compelling slides with strong hierarchy and narrative flow.
  • Create charts, diagrams, infographics, tables, and other visual devices that make information easier to understand.
  • Work within existing presentation templates and brand systems while finding opportunities to improve clarity and visual impact.
  • Create robust, user-friendly PowerPoint templates and master slides that can be used confidently by other teams.

Support Integrated Campaigns

  • Produce and adapt assets across websites and landing pages, social content, digital advertising, email, print, reports and white papers, events and experiential environments, sales materials, and other campaign touchpoints.
  • Work confidently within established brand guidelines and campaign systems.
  • Understand how a design needs to change across formats rather than simply resizing it.
  • Work with production partners, printers, developers, and other specialists to ensure final outputs meet the intended design and technical standards.

Work With the Team

  • Work closely with designers and art directors to understand the creative intent behind the work and carry it through consistently into final execution.
  • Take direction and feedback positively and accurately, while using your own design judgment to identify and resolve executional issues.
  • Manage multiple assignments, rounds of amends, versions and deadlines in a fast-moving agency environment.
  • Maintain organised files, clear naming conventions and disciplined version control.
  • Communicate clearly with creative, account and production teams about timing, specifications and potential production issues.
  • Be dependable with the details, particularly on high-volume, fast-turnaround assignments where accuracy matters as much as speed.
  • Contribute to a culture of high standards, collaboration and craft.

Use Contemporary Tools & Workflows

  • Work confidently across Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
  • Use PowerPoint at an advanced level to create sophisticated, professionally designed presentations.
  • Use Figma and other relevant design tools where required for digital asset production and collaboration.
  • Use generative AI image tools where helpful for image extension, clean-up, retouching, adaptation, and other production tasks.
  • Stay current with evolving design, artwork, and production tools that can improve quality, accuracy, and efficiency.
  • Familiarity with motion, animation or AI video tools is a plus.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 2+ years of professional experience as an Artworker, Production Designer, Creative Artworker, or similar role, ideally within a creative, advertising, branding, or marketing agency.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating polished design craft, attention to detail, and versatility across different types of communications.
  • Excellent typography, layout, composition, and visual hierarchy skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
  • Strong PowerPoint and information design skills with the ability to turn dense or rough content into clear, visually compelling presentations.
  • Excellent technical judgment and a thorough understanding of artwork and production fundamentals across digital and print.
  • A meticulous eye for detail, consistency, and accuracy.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects, versions, and deadlines without losing control of the details.
  • The confidence to spot and flag design or production issues rather than simply reproducing them.
  • A collaborative, dependable, and proactive working style.
  • Familiarity with Figma and generative AI image tools is desirable.
  • Motion design, animation, and/or AI video experience is a plus.
  • Experience working on global brands, localization, or multi-market production is a plus.
  • B2B experience is a plus, but not essential.
