Due to continued growth, we're looking for an experienced Freelance Account Director to support our UK team. This is an exciting opportunity for a senior client services professional to work with some of the world's leading B2B brands, leading strategic programmes, managing senior stakeholder relationships, and driving integrated campaign delivery.
Working closely with our Client Services, Strategy, Creative and Media teams, you will provide leadership across key accounts, ensuring exceptional client service, strong commercial performance and delivery excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a senior strategic partner to clients, building trusted relationships and providing proactive counsel.
- Lead the day-to-day management of key client accounts and integrated marketing programmes.
- Translate client objectives into clear strategic plans and actionable workstreams.
- Drive the integration of brand and demand activity across content, creative, media, digital and ABM programmes.
- Identify opportunities for account growth and support commercial discussions where appropriate.
- Lead client meetings, presentations, workshops and status calls.
- Oversee delivery across multiple projects and teams, ensuring timelines, budgets and quality standards are met.
- Manage project scope and proactively identify and address scope creep.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams and manage delivery dependencies.
- Resolve client and project challenges quickly and effectively.
- Support new business pitches and proposal development as required.
- Champion efficient ways of working and leverage AI-enabled tools to improve delivery and client outcomes.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience: Significant experience in an Account Director or Senior Account Director role within a marketing, advertising or communications agency. Strong experience working with B2B clients and managing integrated marketing programmes. Proven track record of managing senior client stakeholders and leading strategic conversations.
- Strategic Thinking: Strong understanding of integrated B2B marketing, ABM, digital channels and B2B buyer journeys. Ability to translate business objectives into effective marketing strategies and programmes.
- Client Leadership: Confident managing complex stakeholder relationships and navigating challenging client situations. Skilled at presenting ideas, influencing decisions and building long-term partnerships.
- Commercial Awareness: Experience managing budgets, project profitability, resource planning and scope management. Comfortable identifying commercial opportunities and supporting account growth.
- Collaboration: Able to work effectively across strategy, creative, content, media and project management teams. Natural mentor and collaborator who can support and guide team members where needed.
- Drive & Passion: Proactive, adaptable and solutions-focused. Passionate about delivering outstanding client work and measurable business results.
