About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and proactive HR Advisor to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term contract to provide maternity cover. This is a varied, hands-on role that offers the opportunity to work across all areas of the employee lifecycle while partnering closely with senior leaders to support our people strategy. Reporting to the Chief HR Officer, you will play a key role in delivering HR initiatives that support employee engagement, development, wellbeing, and business performance. The successful candidate will be a trusted advisor who enjoys building relationships, solving problems, and creating positive employee experiences. We are committed to supporting flexible ways of working. While this role is ideally full-time, we are open to considering part-time and flexible working arrangements for the right candidate. Key Responsibilities
- HR Strategy & Business Partnering
- Partner with the Chief HR Officer to support and implement strategic HR initiatives aligned to business objectives.
- Build strong relationships with employees and managers across the business.
- Provide advice and guidance on people-related matters, ensuring a consistent and practical approach.
- Promote company values and contribute to a positive workplace culture.
- Recruitment & Onboarding
- Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, including advertising, sourcing, offer management, and onboarding.
- Support hiring managers to attract and secure top talent.
- Coordinate onboarding activities to ensure new starters are effectively integrated into the business.
- Manage freelancer engagement processes, including IR35 compliance and associated documentation.
- Learning & Development
- Coordinate and support learning and development programmes across the business.
- Support career development initiatives, performance review processes, and employee growth planning.
- Measure and evaluate learning effectiveness.
- Reward & HR Operations
- Manage payroll processes and support salary review activities.
- Maintain employee records and HR systems, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.
- Produce HR reports and analyse people data to support decision-making.
- Manage employee benefits, pensions, and holiday administration.
- Global Mobility & Compliance
- Support visa applications and international employee transfers where required.
- Develop, review, and implement HR policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation and internal policies.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Has experience in a generalist HR role.
- Has strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
- Has experience supporting recruitment and talent acquisition activities.
- Demonstrates curiosity and confidence in leveraging AI tools and emerging technologies to enhance HR processes, reporting, employee experience, and operational efficiency.
- Possesses excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Is highly organised with strong attention to detail.
- Enjoys working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
