The Market Research Director will establish our European headquarters and contribute to driving business with US and EU‑based clients. The individual will be the bridge between our US and India market research team, and this role has the opportunity to grow into a senior leadership position. Our growth strategy is to provide holistic offerings to our clients across our business units, so there is opportunity to learn about other aspects of Pharma and be involved with projects that span sales operations, brand development and HEOR.
We are looking for someone with experience in growing new business and client relationships, a willingness to be hands‑on in research projects and to take the lead in training and coaching junior team members, particularly our India team. At least 15% of your week will be spent on driving new opportunities, so we are looking for someone who can demonstrate account growth experience, particularly with US‑based clients. This will be a fully remote role, with the possibility of opening a physical UK‑office as the need arises.
Responsibilities:
- Effectively engage US and EU clients to generate business and ensure a high level of satisfaction with all project work
- Prepare compelling market research proposals
- Contribute to KMK thought leadership efforts by writing whitepapers and presenting at webinars and conferences
- Personally execute market research projects, and lead teams of researchers in the execution of market research projects
- Supervise and contribute to the development of junior market research staff
- Contribute to building the business unit position, strategy and offerings
- Train and mentor our India off‑shore team members
- Work closely with other business unit team members in cross‑selling and developing new cross‑business unit offerings
Requirements:
The successful candidate for this position will have at least 8 years of experience in conducting market research studies at a research consultancy with a focus on the healthcare sector. We are open to individuals who have expertise in qual, including moderating, or quant, especially in complex quant including demand/forecasting studies, or who can execute both. While an advanced degree in a relevant social science or technical area is desirable, it is not required.
