Role Overview
Stef & Philips operates accommodation services across multiple locations, supporting vulnerable individuals and families 24/7. The Nightshift Accommodation Manager is a key leadership role, responsible for overseeing night‑time operations across all our sites while being based at our Croydon office. This includes coordinating responses to incidents, ensuring compliance checks are completed, and escalating urgent matters to senior management or emergency services where required. The role requires strong people‑management skills, safeguarding awareness, and crisis‑management ability. You will work remotely with staff across multiple sites, ensuring they feel supported and that tenants are safe, well cared for, and able to maintain their tenancies during the most challenging hours of the day. As the out‑of‑hours lead, you must balance proactive monitoring with reactive responses to emergencies, ensuring all activity is logged accurately and providing detailed handovers to the Housing and Allocations Teams at the end of each shift.

- Provide remote supervision, guidance, and decision‑making support.

- Ensure out‑of‑hours tenant support follows safeguarding and confidentiality protocols.
- Monitor and respond to out‑of‑hours complaints or emergencies, ensuring follow‑up is completed.
- Ensure night staff complete mandatory compliance and safety checks (fire alarms, exits, patrols).
- Support staff in recording health & safety data and ensure compliance logs are accurate.
- Escalate any critical H&S risks immediately.
- Act as a point of escalation for fire safety incidents, urgent repairs, or security breaches.
- Provide remote leadership in response to serious incidents, including medical emergencies, fires, and security threats.
- Liaise with emergency services, local authorities, and safeguarding partners when needed.
- Ensure incident reports are completed accurately and submitted before the end of shift.
- Maintain regular communication with night staff via phone, email, or remote systems.
- Ensure accurate reporting of all incidents, welfare checks, compliance tasks, and escalations.
- Prepare nightly handover reports for Housing and Allocations Teams.
