Here at Langdons, we have an amazing opportunity for 2 Warehouse Operatives to join the team based in Bridgwater (Showground Road) depot. You will be working on a full time, permanent basis, working 4 on 4 off days and in return, you will receive a highly competitive salary of £29,972.54 per annum.
The Warehouse Operative role: This is a fantastic role which will always keep you on the move! Your role will be to undertake allocated Warehouse-related duties in a safe, cost-effective and efficient manner.
About us: Whether it’s fresh consignments or frozen goods we have it covered! Langdons can deliver to almost any location in the UK or Ireland within 24 hours. We have 12 depots and over 375 lorries carrying chilled and frozen food all over the country. We’re the only company providing a 24-hour service of this kind, and we’re very good at it. What you’ll be doing as our Warehouse Operative:
- Receive and check loads into the warehouse, ensuring all correct packaging and labelling is in place
- Ensure all stock handled is secure and complies with relevant food safety standards
- Operate assigned mechanical handling equipment to store and transport customer goods safely
- Assist with assembling loads for despatch and onto vehicles
- Conduct quality checks to ensure standards of cleanliness and hygiene levels
- Take action to ensure any hazards are controlled or removed to ensure a safe working environment
What qualifications and experience are we looking for in our Warehouse Operative?
- Up-to-date licence to use designated mechanical equipment
- IT literate in Microsoft Office packages
- The ability to compile, analyse and interpret relevant data
- Extensive knowledge and application of warehouse, food safety rules and health and safety procedures
