About The Role
You will be joining our new mobility team working at the intersection between public policy, new business models, and emerging technologies. We provide industry-leading advice to national and local government, private operators, and industry bodies on a wide variety of influential projects from feasibility and planning through to business case, procurement, and monitoring and evaluation. Our three key work areas include:
- Shared mobility
- Electric Vehicle Infrastructure
- Emerging service
Our advice spans across feasibility studies and strategies for the public sector, market entry, and bid support for the private sector. Our work supports clients to demonstrate how new transport technologies and business models can support modal shift, reduce emissions, and deliver economic benefits. We have an extensive portfolio of existing clients and are looking for an individual with enthusiasm for this dynamic and growing sector to help contribute to growing the breadth and range of our work with a focus on the UK and Ireland, but also with opportunities to support our work globally.
Main Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Take key roles in new mobility proposal development and actively manage client relationships
- Develop new relationships through profile raising and other business development activities
- Identify where Steer's offer/skills need to be refined to face client needs more effectively
- Play a leadership role in teams and projects to deliver effective performance
- Manage projects to target commercial outcomes that deliver for clients
- Provide strategic, commercial, and technical new mobility advice to clients
- Lead on report writing and presentations, coordinating technical input from others
- Leading work streams within projects with supervision, ensuring that best practice techniques are applied consistently
- Manage, supervise, coach, and act as a role model for more junior members of the team
- Broaden and develop your own expertise and skill set to align with the needs of our clients
Requirements
- Experience working in one or more of the following new mobility areas: Shared Mobility, Electric Vehicle Infrastructure, Emerging Services
- An enthusiasm to broaden knowledge in one or more of the above new mobility areas
- Leadership and mentoring skills
- Effective decision-making and conflict resolution abilities
- Proven track record in clear and effective written and oral communication
- Solid analytical and technical skills
- Experience developing client relationships or working client-side
- Ability to work collaboratively in high-performing teams
- Ability to manage projects to meet client and budget expectations

- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and parallel tasks
