A note on how we use AI at Steer

AI supports elements of our work only where it is suitable to use it and it is used with care ensuring bias or inaccuracies are not introduced and when permitted by clients. Even then, human judgement, analysis and accountability are key. We expect the same approach from our applicants; AI may support your preparation, but you must keep yourself in the process, and accountable.

What you can do

You are welcome to prepare thoroughly before applying or completing any assessments. This includes reviewing instructions, practising sample questions and refreshing your knowledge. You may also use AI if you wish to help you think more clearly about your CV or preparation. For example, to check structure, wording or tailoring. What matters is that you remain the author. AI can help you to articulate your experience, but it must not invent it. We will explore your CV and examples in detail in interviews.

To protect the integrity of the process, the following are not permitted:

  • Using AI to generate your CV, your answers or any assessment responses.
  • Getting help from another person during assessments.
