Steer Staffing are currently recruiting for Drivers Mates to join a distribution and delivery company based in Carmarthen. You will be supporting the drivers with delivering customers' orders to their houses and office sites, with route plans put together for your daily tasks. This role will be on an ADOC basis, to cover the needs of the business, supporting with high volume and sickness cover. A DBS check will be required for this role.
The duties of the Drivers Mate include:
- Lifting heavy items and completing a multi-drop driving role
- Ensuring the right products get to the right places at the right time
- Making every customer encounter memorable
- Following a delivery route
- Pre-calling customers before arrival
- Filling in paperwork as and when required
- Removing all packaging from each delivery
The ideal Drivers Mate will have:
- Experience within a similar role
- The ability to lift heavy items
- Good communication skills with customers
- A clean DBS
The hours of work for the Drivers Mate are 7am - 6pm. The salary for the Drivers Mate will be £12.81 per hour, paid weekly.
