Steer Staffing are currently recruiting for part time 3.5 tonne Delivery Drivers to join a distribution and delivery company based in Wednesbury. This will initially be for a 4 week period, with the potential for the contract to be extended after that. The working hours will be Monday - Friday 5.30pm - 9.30pm.

You will be delivering customers' orders to their houses and office sites, working with a Drivers Mate to support you on all deliveries. Route plans are put together for your daily deliveries, and your vehicle is pre-loaded each morning. A DBS check will be required for this role.

The duties include:

  • Lifting heavy items and completing a multi-drop driving role
  • Ensuring the right products get to the right places at the right time
  • Following a delivery route
  • Pre-calling customers before arrival
  • Filling in paperwork as and when required
  • Removing all packaging from each delivery

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience within a similar role
  • A full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points
  • The ability to handle heavy goods
  • A clean DBS

The salary will be £13.63 per hour.
