Steer Staffing are currently recruiting for 7.5 tonne Delivery Drivers to join a distribution and delivery company based in Newark. You will be delivering customers' orders to their houses and office sites, working with a Drivers Mate to support you on all deliveries. Route plans are put together for your daily schedule, and your vehicle is pre-loaded each morning.
The shifts are 5 days on and 3 days off, on a rota basis, with two 30-minute breaks, morning and afternoon. A DBS check will be required for this role.
The duties of the 7.5 tonne Delivery Driver include:
- Driving a 7.5 ton vehicle on a daily basis
- Working with a Drivers Mate
- Lifting heavy items and completing a multi-drop driving role
- Following a delivery route, which is pre-planned for you
- Removing all packaging from each delivery
The ideal 7.5 tonne Delivery Driver will have:
- A clean DBS
The hours of work for the 7.5 tonne Delivery Driver are 5 days on and 3 days off, covering any 5 days from Monday to Sunday. You must be available to work between the hours of 7.00am and 6.15pm.
The salary for the 7.5 tonne Delivery Driver will be £13.60 per hour, on a 12-week temp to perm basis. Benefits include free car parking on site, quarterly bonus once you are permanent, pension after 12 weeks, discount on products, wellbeing initiatives, and 30 days holiday including bank holidays once you are permanent, along with a selection of courses to grow your personal and professional development.
