Steer Staffing are currently recruiting for 7.5 tonne Delivery Drivers, to join a distribution and delivery company based in Wednesbury. You will be delivering customers' orders to their houses and office sites, working with a Drivers Mate to support you on all deliveries. Route plans are put together for your daily work, and your vehicle is pre-loaded each morning. The shifts are 5 days on and 3 days off, on a rota basis, with two 30-minute breaks, morning and afternoon.

The duties of the 7.5 tonne Delivery Driver include:
- Driving a 7.5 ton vehicle on a daily basis
- Working with a drivers mate
- Delivering customers' orders to their homes and offices
- Lifting heavy items and completing a multi-drop driving role
- Ensuring the right products get to the right places at the right time
- Following a delivery route, which is pre-planned for you
- Pre-calling customers before arrival
- Filling in paperwork as and when required
- Removing all packaging from each delivery
The ideal 7.5 tonne Delivery Driver will have:
- Experience within a similar role
- 7.5 ton licence or above
- CPC and Taco
- The ability to handle heavy goods
- A clean DBS
The hours of work for the 7.5 tonne Delivery Driver are 5 days on, 3 days off, covering any 5 days over Monday to Sunday. You must be available to work between the hours of 7.00am and 6.15pm.
The salary for the 7.5 tonne Delivery Driver will be £13.60 per hour, on a 12-week temp to perm basis. Any hours over 45 will be paid at time and a half.
