7.5 tonne Delivery Drivers wanted - new passes accepted - full time - 12 weeks temp to perm - immediate start.
Steer Staffing are currently recruiting for 7.5 tonne Delivery Drivers to join a distribution and delivery company based in Wednesbury. You will be delivering customers' orders to their houses and office sites, working with a Drivers Mate to support you on all deliveries. Route plans are put together for your daily work, and your vehicle is pre-loaded each morning.
The shifts are 5 days on and 3 days off, on a rota basis, with two 30-minute breaks, morning and afternoon. The role is on a 12-week temp to perm basis, providing a fantastic opportunity to secure a job with a well-established, reputable company that will invest in you. The duties of the 7.5 tonne Delivery Driver include:
- Lifting heavy items and completing a multi-drop driving role
- Ensuring the right products get to the right places at the right time
- Installing a range of various products for our customers
- Making every customer encounter memorable
- Following a delivery route
- Pre-calling customers before arrival
- Filling in paperwork as and when required
- Removing all packaging from each delivery
The ideal 7.5 tonne Delivery Driver will have:
- Experience within a similar role
- A full Class C1 UK/EA licence with no more than six penalty points
- CPC card
- Tachograph card
- A passion for delivering great customer service
- The ability to handle heavy goods
- A clean DBS
The hours of work for the 7.5 tonne Delivery Driver are 5 days on and 3 days off, covering any 5 days from Monday to Sunday. You must be available to work between the hours of 7.00am and 6.15pm. If the deliveries are completed early, you will finish early, as long as no one else needs support.
The salary for the 7.5 tonne Delivery Driver will be £13.60 per hour, on a 12-week temp to perm basis. Any hours over 45 will be paid at time and a half.
