Steer Staffing are currently recruiting for 7.5 tonne Delivery Drivers, to join a distribution and delivery company based in Wednesbury. You will be delivering customers' orders to their houses and office sites, working with a Drivers Mate to support you on all deliveries. Route plans are put together for your daily schedule, and your vehicle is pre-loaded each morning. The shifts are 5 days on and 3 days off, on a rota basis, with two 30-minute breaks, morning and afternoon.

The duties of the 7.5 tonne Delivery Driver include:

  • Driving a 7.5 ton vehicle on a daily basis
  • Working with a drivers mate
  • Delivering customers' orders to their homes and offices
  • Lifting heavy items and completing a multi-drop driving role
  • Ensuring the right products get to the right places at the right time
  • Following a delivery route, which is pre-planned for you
  • Pre-calling customers before arrival
  • Filling in paperwork as and when required
  • Removing all packaging from each delivery

The ideal 7.5 tonne Delivery Driver will have:

  • Experience within a similar role
  • 7.5 ton licence or above
  • CPC and Taco
