Steer Staffing are currently recruiting for 3.5 tonne Delivery Drivers, to join a distribution and delivery company based in Leeds. You will be delivering customers' orders to their houses and office sites, working with a Drivers Mate to support you on all deliveries. Route plans are put together for your daily schedule, and your vehicle is pre-loaded each morning. The shifts are 5 days on and 3 days off, on a rota basis, with two 30-minute breaks, morning and afternoon. A DBS check will be required for this role.

The duties of the 3.5 tonne Delivery Driver include:

  • Lifting heavy items and completing a multi-drop driving role
  • Ensuring the right products get to the right places at the right time
  • Following a delivery route
  • Pre-calling customers before arrival
  • Filling in paperwork as and when required
  • Removing all packaging from each delivery

The ideal 3.5 tonne Delivery Driver will have:

  • Experience within a similar role
  • A full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points
  • The ability to handle heavy goods
  • A clean DBS

The hours of work for the 3.5 tonne Delivery Driver are 5 days on and 3 days off, covering any 5 days over Monday to Sunday. You must be available to work between the hours of 7.00am and 6.15pm. The salary for the 3.5 tonne Delivery Driver will be £13.63 per hour, with any hours over 45 paid at time and a half.
