Drivers Mate in Devon

Steer Staffing are currently recruiting for Drivers Mates to join a distribution and delivery company based in Plymouth. You will be delivering customers orders to their houses and office sites, working with a Driver and supporting them on all deliveries. The shifts are 5 days on and 3 days off, the days will be on a rota basis, with two 30-minute breaks, morning, and afternoon. A DBS check will be required for this role. The duties of the Drivers Mate include: * Lifting heavy items and completing a multi-drop Drivers Mate role * Ensuring the right products get to the right places at the right time * Installing a range of various products for customers * Supporting the Drivers * Pre calling customers before arrival * Filling in paperwork as and when required * Removing all packaging from each delivery The ideal Drivers Mate will have: * Experience within a similar role * The ability to handle heavy goods * A clean DBS The hours of work for the Drivers Mate are 5 days on 3 days off, the working days cover any 5 over Monday – Sunday, you must be available to work between the hours of 7.00am – 6.15pm, if the deliveries are completed early, you will finish early, as long as no one else needs support. The salary for the Drivers Mate will be £12.27 per hour, on a 12-week temp to perm basis. Any hours over 45 will be paid at time and a half
