Steer Staffing are currently recruiting for 3.5 tonne Delivery Drivers to join a distribution and delivery company based in Plymouth. You will be delivering customers' orders to their houses and office sites, working with a Drivers Mate to support you on all deliveries. Route plans are put together for your daily schedule, along with your vehicle being loaded with the products.
The shifts are 5 days on and 3 days off, on a rota basis, with two 30-minute breaks, morning and afternoon. A DBS check will be required for this role.
The duties of the 3.5 tonne Delivery Driver include:
- Lifting heavy items and completing a multi-drop driving role
- Ensuring the right products get to the right places at the right time
- Installing a range of various products for the customers
- Following a delivery route
- Pre-calling customers before arrival
- Filling in paperwork as and when required
- Removing all packaging from each delivery
The ideal 3.5 tonne Delivery Driver will have:
- Experience within a similar role (preferred)
- New passes are accepted
- No more than six penalty points on driving licence
- A passion for delivering great customer service
- The ability to handle heavy goods
- A clean DBS
The hours of work for the 3.5 tonne Delivery Driver are 5 days on and 3 days off, covering any 5 days over Monday to Sunday.
