Teer Staffing are currently recruiting for 7.5 tonne Delivery Drivers to join a distribution and delivery company based in Leeds. You will be delivering customers' orders to their houses and office sites, working with a Drivers Mate to support you on all deliveries. Route plans are put together for your daily, and your vehicle is pre-loaded each morning. The shifts are 5 days on and 3 days off, the days will be on a rota basis, with two 30-minute breaks, morning and afternoon. A DBS check will be required for this role.
Duties:
- Lifting heavy items and completing a multi-drop driving role
- Ensuring the right products get to the right places at the right time
- Following a delivery route
- Pre-calling customers before arrival
- Filling in paperwork as and when required
- Removing all packaging from each delivery
Qualifications:
- Experience within a similar role
- A full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points
- The ability to handle heavy goods
- A clean DBS
Hours of Work:
The hours of work for the 7.5 tonne Delivery Driver are 5 days on 3 days off. The working days cover any 5 over Monday – Sunday, you must be available to work between the hours of 7.00am – 6.15pm.
Salary:
The salary for the 7.5 tonne Delivery Driver will be £14.28 per hour, £33,415.20 per year. Any hours over 45 will be paid at time and a half.
