Steer Staffing are currently recruiting for 7.5 tonne Delivery Drivers, to join a distribution and delivery company based in Wednesbury. You will be delivering customers orders to their houses and office sites, working with a Drivers Mate to support you on all deliveries route plans are put together for your daily, and your vehicle is pre loaded each morning. The shifts are 5 days on and 3 days off, the days will be on a rota basis, with two 30-minute breaks, morning, and afternoon. This is a fantastic opportunity for you to secure a job with a well-established, reputable company, they will invest in you, and in return they are looking for hardworking, reliable and honest people to join their team. A DBS check will be required for this role. The duties of the 7.5 tonne Delivery Driver include: * Driving a 7.5 ton vehicle on a daily basis * Working with a drivers mate * Delivering customers orders to their homes and offices * Lifting heavy items and completing a multi-drop driving role * Ensuring the right products get to the right places at the right time * Following a delivery route, which is pre planned for you * Pre calling customers before arrival * Filling in paperwork as and when required * Removing all packaging from each delivery The ideal 7.5 tonne Delivery Driver will have: * Experience within a similar role * 7.5 ton licence or above * CPC and Taco * The ability to handle heavy goods * A clean DBS The hours of work for the 7.7 tonne Delivery Driver are 5 days on 3 days off, the working days cover any 5 over Monday – Sunday, you must be available to work between the hours of 7.00am – 6.15pm. The salary for the 7.5 tonne Delivery Driver will be £13.60 per hour, on a 12-week temp to perm basis. Any hours over 45 will be paid at time and a half.
