Overview
Steer Staffing are currently recruiting for 3.5 tonne Delivery Drivers, to join a distribution and delivery company based in Wednesbury.
You will be delivering customers orders to their houses and office sites, working with a Driver\’s Mate to support you. Route plans are put together for your daily, and your vehicle is pre loaded each morning.
Responsibilities
- Driving a 3.5 ton vehicle on a daily basis
- Working with a Driver\’s Mate
- Delivering customers orders to their homes and offices
- Lifting heavy items and completing a multi-drop driving role
- Ensuring the right products get to the right places at the right time
- Following a delivery route, which is pre planned for you
- Pre calling customers before arrival
- Filling in paperwork as and when required
- Removing all packaging from each delivery
Requirements / Qualifications
- Experience within a similar role
- A full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points
- The ability to handle heavy goods
- A clean DBS
Hours, Pay and Schedule
The hours of work are 5 days on, 3 days off, with the working days covering any 5 days over Monday to Sunday. You must be available to work between 7:00am and 6:15pm.
Salary: £13.17 per hour, on a 12-week temp to perm basis. Any hours over 45 per week will be paid at time and a half.
