Looking for a hands-on role within the automotive industry?

Steer Automotive Group is looking for a reliable and hardworking Vehicle Valeter to join our accident repair centre in Sherburn in Elmet, Leeds.

Whether you already have experience as a Car Valeter, Vehicle Valeter or Car Cleaner, or you’re looking for an opportunity to develop your career within the automotive industry, we’d love to hear from you.

You’ll play an important role in ensuring repaired vehicles are cleaned and presented to a high standard before being returned to our customers.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Vehicle Valeter, your responsibilities will include:

• Cleaning and valeting vehicles to a high standard before they are returned to customers

• Carrying out thorough interior and exterior vehicle cleaning

• Vacuuming and cleaning vehicle interiors

• Washing, drying and finishing vehicle exteriors

• Ensuring vehicles are presented professionally and ready for customer collection

• Checking completed vehicles to make sure high standards of cleanliness are maintained

• Using valeting products and equipment safely and correctly

• Working closely with the wider bodyshop team to ensure vehicles are ready on time

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work and has a keen eye for detail.

You’ll ideally bring:

• Excellent attention to detail

• A positive and proactive approach to work

• The ability to work efficiently in a busy environment

• A commitment to maintaining high standards

• A reliable and professional approach

• A full UK driving licence

Previous experience as a Vehicle Valeter, Car Valeter, Car Cleaner or in a similar automotive role would be beneficial, but isn’t essential as training and support will be provided.
