About the Role:

We are looking for an organised and proactive Transport Manager to oversee the day-to-day coordination of our vehicle logistics and driver operations. This role is responsible for planning and managing the collection and delivery of vehicles, supervising the driving team, and ensuring smooth vehicle movement across the site. You will play a key role in keeping operations running efficiently, ensuring vehicles are moved safely, on time, and to the highest standards. This is a fast-paced, hands-on position that requires excellent communication, strong leadership, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, supervise, and support the daily activities of the driving team
  • Plan and coordinate vehicle collections, deliveries, and on-site movements
  • Allocate drivers to routes and ensure efficient scheduling of workloads
  • Ensure all vehicle movements are completed safely, efficiently, and on time
  • Maintain compliance with transport regulations, company procedures, and health & safety standards
  • Assist with site logistics and overall vehicle flow management across the site
  • Ensure all transport documentation, vehicle records, and movement logs are accurate and up to date
  • Respond quickly to operational challenges and resolve issues effectively
  • Liaise closely with workshop, logistics, and customer service teams to ensure smooth operational flow
  • Champion Steer’s values and drive a culture of safety, respect, and performance
