Customer Service Advisor – Automotive

Peterborough | Prestige Accident Repair Centre

Steer Automotive Group is looking for an experienced and customer-focused Customer Service Advisor to join our prestige automotive repair centre in Peterborough.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in customer service, administration, automotive, bodyshop or accident repair who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and delivering an exceptional customer experience.

As a Customer Service Advisor, you’ll be a key point of contact for our customers throughout their vehicle repair journey from the initial booking and vehicle handover through to regular repair updates and collection.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome customers to our Peterborough accident repair centre and provide a friendly, professional service

  • Handle customer enquiries both face-to-face and over the telephone

  • Manage vehicle repair bookings, customer appointments and vehicle handovers

  • Provide customers with clear and regular updates throughout the repair process

  • Liaise with bodyshop technicians, insurers, suppliers and internal teams

  • Respond to customer queries and resolve issues promptly and professionally

  • Maintain accurate customer and vehicle records

  • Support the smooth day-to-day running of the customer service function

  • Deliver an excellent customer experience from first contact through to vehicle collection

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience within a Customer Service Advisor, Service Advisor, Customer Service Administrator or similar customer-facing role

  • Automotive, bodyshop, accident repair or motor trade experience would be advantageous, although it is not essential

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Confident speaking with customers both face-to-face and over the telephone

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Good IT and administration skills

  • Ability to remain calm and professional in a busy environment

  • A genuine passion for delivering exceptional customer service
