At Steer Commercial, we're not just repairing vehicles—we're setting the benchmark for commercial vehicle repair through integrity, excellence, and innovation. We are looking for a skilled and motivated Painter to join our specialist team at Oldham.

As a Painter, you'll play a vital role in restoring commercial vehicles to the highest standards. Working on a wide range of light commercial vehicles, you'll prepare, paint, and finish repairs with precision, ensuring every vehicle leaves our workshop looking its best.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare repaired panels and vehicle surfaces ready for paint application.
  • Mix and colour-match paints to manufacturer specifications.
  • Apply primers, basecoats and clearcoats using modern spray-painting techniques.
  • Carry out blending and refinishing work to achieve high-quality finishes.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure it meets company and manufacturer quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
  • Work closely with panel technicians, MET technicians and workshop colleagues to ensure repairs are completed efficiently and on time.

What You'll Need

  • Previous experience as an Automotive Painter, ideally within an accident repair environment.
  • Excellent paint preparation, colour-matching and refinishing skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering first-class workmanship.
  • Knowledge of modern paint systems and application techniques.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • ATA accreditation is desirable but not essential.

If you take pride in delivering exceptional paint finishes and want to build your career with a business that's investing in its people and its future, we'd love to hear from you.

Apply today and become part of the team that's redefining commercial vehicle repair.
