We are currently recruiting for an experienced Strip Fitter / MET Technician to join our Long Eaton, Nottingham bodyshop. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled automotive professional with experience in vehicle stripping, fitting, mechanical, electrical, and trim repairs to join one of the UK’s fastest-growing accident repair groups.
The Role – Strip Fitter / MET Technician
- Dismantle and reassemble accident-damaged vehicles safely and efficiently
- Remove and refit mechanical, electrical, and trim components
- Carry out vehicle strip and fit work in line with manufacturer repair methods
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and complete repairs where required
- Work closely with Panel Technicians and Paint Technicians to ensure smooth workflow
- Use modern diagnostic tools and repair equipment
- Maintain high standards of quality, safety, and housekeeping within the workshop
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience as a Strip Fitter, MET Technician, or Vehicle Trim Technician within a bodyshop or accident repair environment
- Strong knowledge of modern vehicle mechanical, electrical, and trim systems
- Experience removing and refitting vehicle components to manufacturer standards
- ATA accreditation (or working towards it) is desirable
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- A reliable team player with pride in producing high-quality work
