Steer Automotive Group is looking for an experienced MET Technician to join our Norwich accident repair centre.
If you're an experienced Mechanical, Electrical and Trim (MET) Technician, Strip and Fit Technician, or Vehicle Technician with bodyshop experience, this is an excellent opportunity to join one of the UK's fastest-growing accident repair businesses.
MET Technician Responsibilities
- Strip and refit vehicles safely and efficiently following manufacturer repair methods
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and trim faults
- Remove and refit vehicle components to manufacturer standards
- Work alongside Paint Technicians and Panel Beaters to complete high-quality repairs
- Use modern diagnostic equipment and the latest repair technology
- Maintain a safe, organised and professional workshop
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience as an MET Technician, Strip Fitter, or Vehicle Technician within a bodyshop or accident repair centre
- Strong knowledge of vehicle mechanical, electrical and trim systems
- ATA accreditation (preferred but not essential)
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Full UK driving licence preferred
- Passion for delivering high-quality vehicle repairs
