About the Role
As an MET (Mechanical, Electrical, and Trim) Technician, you will be a key player in ensuring that our customers' vehicles are repaired to the highest standards. Your role will involve diagnosing, repairing, and replacing mechanical, electrical, and trim components on a variety of vehicle makes and models, including electric and hybrid vehicles. Your expertise will help us uphold our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out all necessary mechanical and bodywork on allocated jobs, including ADAS calibration and wheel alignment.
- Dismantle vehicles in preparation for panel repairs.
- Conduct inspections, fault-finding, and diagnostic work.
- Order and manage replacement parts.
- Reassemble vehicles with new parts to restore them to pre-accident condition.
- Ensure all work meets our quality standards and complies with safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with the wider team regarding the status of repairs.
About You
You bring significant experience as an MET Technician from an accident repair background, with expertise in working with electric and hybrid vehicles. Your attention to detail and ability to work skilfully under pressure are key to your success.
Qualifications and Skills
- Extensive experience as an MET Technician, including work on electric and hybrid vehicles.
- Competency in ADAS, wheel alignment, strip/refit, mechanical work, and using diagnostic tools.
- Ability to efficiently plan and manage your workload to meet agreed timescales.
- Commitment to completing work in line with manufacturer specifications.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with minimal supervision.
- Flexibility in your approach, always striving for high standards with customer satisfaction in mind.
- Strict adherence to Health & Safety guidelines, maintaining a clean and tidy workspace, and wearing appropriate PPE.
- Relevant experience and training in electric and hybrid vehicles, as well as ATA/NVQ qualifications in automotive repair (we will support renewing these qualifications).
